Vacuum filter belt separate solids and liquids in water treatment. This is accompanied by rinsing, leaching or acid washing if desired. The belts form a continuously circulating trough, which holds and transports the filter blanket, the filter cake, the suspension and the washing solvent and removes the filtrate. The filtrate to be siphoned off via the vacuum filter belt grooves and through the drainage holes in the center of the belt under the force of gravity and the vacuum generated.

The filtrate is drained off though a longitudinally positioned vacuum box and a defined vacuum filter belt perforation. The predried filter cake is shed on the bend pulley.

Vacuum filter belt has many applications such as on vacuum belt filter units used in the processing of flue-gas desulfurization, dyes, chemicals, ores, foodstuffs, coal and paper as well as in minerals systems and in fertilizer production etc.
