Pulp is a lignocellulosic fibrous material prepared by chemically or mechanically separating cellulose fibres from waste paper, wood or fibre crops.

           

There are three basic ways to produce pulp:

1.  Chemical Pulp (yield 50%)
Uses chemicals to dissolve lignin. And the kraft pulp is most common pulp.

2.  Mechanical Pulp (yield 90%)
Mechanical pulping uses mechanical abrasion to separate cellulose fibers which are held together by a material called lignin. In the process called "Groundwood" wet wood is ground by large stones. In Thermo Mechanical Pulping (TMP), metallic plates rub steam heated chips at high speeds, separating fibers with polyester pulping fabrics. polyester pulping fabrics mainly used for the level of belt pulp washing machine, pulp washing machines and vacuum drum washer.

3.  Semichemical Pulp
Uses chemicals to soften lignin, and mechanical abrasion in refiners - Chemi Thermo Mechanical Pulping.
Polyester pulping fabrics: have good air and water permeability. They have good ability to prevent the granules from blocking in the fabrics and the filter cakes can be peeled off easily, therefore, they can be used time after time.
